Ward was born in MonroeLouisianaonApril 151976. Ward attended Monroe Christian School, a Christian private school. After completing her high school studies she transferred to River Oaks High School in the summer during her junior year. In the school, she was a part of the dance and drill team. Following her graduation, she went to Northeast Louisiana University. Ward dropped out of high school when she was 13 years old to begin modeling. After a few years, she decided to try her hand at acting. The first time she appeared on stage was in an uncredited character in 1970's soap opera All My Children, and later was cast in the lead in a drama for teens on NBC Prime Time Malibu Shores. She has a personal life that includes marriage to the producer David C. Robinson. They have the name of a son, Cameron.
